#LashTipTuesday : Double check your labels!

When caring for your extensions you want to be sure that anything you put on or around your lashes won't cause you no problems. Listed below is a few pointers on what you may need to check .

- Any cosmetic product or cleanser containing glycols, organic solvents, urea or high concentrations of alcohol should be avoided because they can potentially breakdown the adhesive bond and shorten the life spanof the extensions.

- Any mascara you use should NEVER be waterproof , ALWAYS water-based (meaning the very first ingredient listed is water)

- Dont use Eye cream. Eye creams are better suited to address dry, thin, skin but because it usually has a higher oil content, eye gels are better suited for eyelash extensions.

- If your makeup remover contains petroleum based ingredients, it still can say “oil free”. Eye make up removers contains oil because oil breaks down oil. Most eye make up remover WIPES can also contain oil. Look for eye make up remover that is pure liquid like Garnier Skinactive Micellar Cleansing Water.

- Do not use straight oil on your face. Olive oil, coconut oil, Vitamin E oil, and all other oils should be completely avoided altogether.
