#LashTipTuesday: 4 Myths about lash extensions that are getting left in 2020

I believe that clients should be as educated as possible about their eyelash extensions. So I have put together a little list of the few myths I hear regularly.

1. Lash extensions prevent your natural lashes from growing back.

As long as lash extensions are properly taken care of, the natural lashes will be safe‼️ This means clients must make sure that they are keeping up their end and are cleaning their lashes. At the end of every service, clients receive information on the best maintenance routine they should follow as well as guidance for the correct materials to use. I recommend cleansing daily with an eyelash extension-safe cleanser 🧼💦 to keep oils from breaking down the adhesive bond.

2. The lash extension application process is painful.

It should never be painful! You should barely feel anything, nothing more than a light touch to your lashes. Here at Conceited, I make sure my clients are comfortable and relaxed 💆🏾‍♀️🧘🏾‍♀️ Not to mention, the clients’ eyes are closed the entire time. My lash extension application process is completely pain-free 🚫 🤕

3. Lash extensions make your natural lashes shorter and finer.

If lashes are applied improperly, then damage is possible‼️ Poor application can cause natural lashes to weaken and fall out. My biggest concern here at Conceited is safety. I guarantee beautiful and safe lashes for every client👍🏾

4. You can apply lash extensions by yourself.

I use a medical grade high-intensity adhesive to make the lashes last as long as they do! It is not safe for someone to use such a strong adhesive on themselves. There's a possibility you could glue your lashes together causing damage to your natural eyelashes, poke yourself in the eye with a tweezer(ouch‼️), or accidentally getting that adhesive in your eye. I will always recommend trusting a trained technician‼️
