So after filling out my eyelash consent form and using the restroom (You'll be laying down for about 2 hours... I highly suggest this trip before starting LOL), you'll get comfortable on the lash bed and we can start! I have 2 different sized prop pillows available to add comfort during this extended period (especially for my ladies with lower back problems).
First, I will wash your natural lashes using an eyelash cleanser. I give lash baths to make sure that I have the optimal starting place for applying the lashes. No makeup, moisturizer, natural oils will be left to hinder the process. We will also discuss how you'd like your lashes to look and what would be the best fit based off your natural lashes. For a detailed description of each lash set, Check out #LashTipTuesday: What are the different lash sets?
Next, I apply the gel pads and micropore tape a.k.a paper tape to secure lower lashes during the application. No one wants to have their top and bottom lashes stuck together. (It is NOT a pretty sight.) I'll make sure everything is feeling okay for you before I start to adhere to any eyelash extension to your natural lashes. I'll instruct you to be sure to keep your eyes closed the entire time and to let me know if any discomfort occurs. *Always be vocal about any irritation or intolerable feeling throughout the service.
Then, I start to put on the actual extensions. This is the part where most of my clients use this to their advantage and take a nice, relaxing nap. I know life gets rough and sometimes a nap just fixes it, LOL. It also speeds up the time for you and it doesn't feel like you're just laying down for this long period of time.
After I do what I do best, you can finally open your eyes and see your new lashes! The whole process is aimed to give you a new look without any pain or irritation whatsoever so opening your eyes after the service should be a breeze. On occasion, there may be one or two bottom lashes that popped up and got stuck to a top lash or have an extension on it but that can be easily fixed. After I snap a few pictures of your lashes, We'll discuss things like how to maintain your lashes, how often to get them touched up, and how your friends can get lashes like yours too.
