Sadly, all good things must come to an end at some point. And for your beautiful eyelash extension, that point is at about the three to four week mark. Now, you have two options: go to a professional who can gently remove them with the help of an eyelash glue remover (while this option does require money and time, it’s definitely the one I recommend), or remove them yourself at home.
*If you do decide an at home removal is for you, one thing that you HAVE to remember is that you DO NOT PULL OR PICK THE EXTENSIONS OUT. You cause serious damage to your natural lashes.
Make your lashes are super clean before trying anything. Dirty lashes can prolong and/or hinder the removal. Refer to Cleaning Your Lashes 101
Fill the bowl with hot water. The temperature must be high enough to be steaming. Place your face directly above the bowl, drape a large towel over your head OR you can take a hot shower. Either way, there has to be steam your on face for around 10-15 minutes to soften the adhesive.
Take a cotton pad and dip it in oil. (preferably castor oil, olive oil, or coconut oil) Gently wipe in a downward motion starting directly at your lash line. Repeat until all remaining extensions are gone. Remember to be patient.
Clean your face to rid of any excess oils.
